Aluminum anodizing provides a durable finish as well offering a wide variety of vibrant colors. Critical parameters include the material alloy, grain structure, surface finish, surface preparation, type of dye, the time of immersion, and the thickness of the oxide layer. (Type 1 anodizing, 6061 T6 alloy, various anodizing dyes and thickness layers.)

These parts were molded on the same machine, on the same day, from the same lot of material. The color variations – which did NOT affect performance – were finally traced to problems with dispersion of the color concentrate. (The concentrate was collecting at the bottom of the lot, due to the higher density of the metallic pigment.)

this is a small aloe, I don't know the species. it has rigid leaves, with stiff white tines. reminds of a sea anemone.
